wL<3bass
The new XXX is definitely up there with 54mm one way excursion. There are a few very rare or straight up prototype subs with extreme excursion capabilities but as far as mainstream I can't think of anything more than 54mm.JL's W7 has 29mm if I remember correctly, similar to a Fi Q or AA Havoc. Depends one which model the xmax differs on the size and the 13.5w7 has the most of the w7 line at 32mm iirc. HHR Ed
so i was wondering, which sub has the most excursion out of all the brands? i was thinking the JL W7 but i can't be sure. uh, there are about 20-30 different subs that have greater excursion capabilities than a W7. Lets start with all the 10" spider subs. T3 TSNS T3 TSS Ground Zero Plutonium TC sounds, multiple models. Eclipse Ti. SMD woofer. and I just dont feel like looking up all the others right now. J00bles
well i think the FS3 thingy has some major excursion. more then the others but i could be wrong. those subs in those videos move quite a bit, but how long do you expect to play them like that? that much excursion HAS TO put a ton of stress on the woofer's components. as mentioned, the RE XXX subs do 54mm of ONE WAY excurion. thats over 2 inches of one way movement. and excursion is important when considering how "low" a subwoofer will play. the greater the excursion, the more likly it will play low(er).
