Chode69 Posted April 11, 2007 Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 (edited) well you can ask me about kicker. i helped install some CRVs in a trunk. didnt build the box but it was tuend to 34 htz dont remember the size but it was a pretty nie box, but i helped get it all wired it up and we took a listen and i was not pleased by the sound. at a comp i heard a 18 inch solo x, 2 15 inch L7s, 3 10 L5s, 2 12 CRVs, 2 12 inch CVXs, and more also countless ive heard in parking lots. ive heard quite a few jsut chillin in the best buy parking lot, this one guy had 3 crvs in the back of an explorer and i can contuinue to list but ill just be ramblig on then. each one got loud, (especially the L7s and the Solo X) but NONE had a clean sound. they were all tuned and designed differently. the lows sounded horrible and the plastic cone just didnt make me happy. i prefer the sound of a paper or metal cone. never owned kicker because i dont like the way they sound. i will admit they knock but SQ sucks. and yes i do knwo they won DTS which is very amazing and im impressed by that very much but most people dont set up vehicles for straight SQ. takes a LOT of tuning and changes to make a kicker have that SQ. Derrick824 Posted April 11, 2007 Report Share Posted April 11, 2007 In all honestly the punch stuff isn't even worth buying so of course I wouldn't waste my money on it, subs sound like shit and amps aren't the greatest either.
