Do you guys even understand what the fail is? That sub is STILL a D4 sub...nothing is changed. All the switch does is wire the sub in either series or parallel. There is no switch to change the sub from 2 ohm to 4ohm. When I wire my D1 in series or parallel...am I changing the coils?

No.

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

AND even if you guys were paying attention to the information you guys are trying to post, then if the sub was a D2 wouldnt the switch go from 1 ohm to 4 ohm? If it were a D4 wouldnt it switch from 2 ohm or 8 ohm? How does you get a 2 ohm load or 4 ohm load from either a D2 or D4?

if you look at the pic its a 2dvc the switch is on 4ohm, flip the switch to 1ohm. same as the 4dvc flip it 8ohm flip it the other way 2ohm

Thats actually a pretty good idea for people that dont know what they are doing.

thats what I said much easier to the people that has no idea on what they are doing.if you can't flip a switch or don't know number you don't need it.

It

Isn't

Switching.

Its wiring series and then parallel. The sub is STILL a D2...is it really that difficult?

No, it's a switch to switch the wiring. Now you're just failing, switching from series to parallel DOES NOT change the resistance of the coils. You can not be this blind to actual science. It's a switch...that goes from SERIES to PARALLEL.

Case in point...

Please tell me how a D2 or a D4 sub goes from 2 ohms to 4 ohms...point is you don't understand what the fail was (the coils do not change) and it's obvious you don't understand voicecoil configurations or are just ignoring science because you don't want to admit you are wrong. Either way...you're wrong :)

Dude. That switch adds wire and cuts wire off of the coils to change the resistance. In just the flip of the switch. It's THAT good.
