meade916
Hey steve you should wait and get the new viper coming out on October 17, 2009 its the viper 7901 HD. I think its worth the wait. http://www.drdetailshop.com/V7901.htm too late. besides it dont matter what it is, something newer is always "on the way". i cant wait forever for everything. That looks sick though! Anyway, we put it in last nite, me and mr. X. Hey Steve at one stage you should try get your hands on a Soundstream XXX-18 they go hard out quad 1 ohm coils no thanks bro. Besides, the quad coils dont mean shit except a headache. I want single coil subs next time LOL! Thanks on that though. Oh jesus, ill go ahead and answer that for him cause im sure hes busy workin on his truck,he will never use those subs, his sub (s) of choice are FI BTLs ,and when his come out they will be the AA-SMDs. ya, what he said Besides, until Soundstream moves back to Folsom, Ca, where they BELONG - i will never be a SS guy again, and my DREAM was to be on "team-stream" about 20 yrs ago. I no longer have the love. Dont feel bad, it was one of my FAVORITE brands up until about 98. Im not gonna say "when they were good" becuase people get their feelings hurt, but if your older then 35 yrs old, you KNOW what im talking about and i dont even have to say it. Well my front windows were never very fast but they werent THAT slow.....now they only go about 6" and stop. I lubed up the railing and rubber "guides" with some white lithium grease i had and it seemed to work.....for about 10 window roll-ups and now its back to shit again. anyone know the best "lube" to grease teh windows up with? POS 530T might need to be modded also if anyone has info on that PLEASE hit me up!! Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! ptcary
Steve, for the Hoopty alarm (5900) I have had good luck with energizer ultimate lithium AAA batteries, I get about 1.5-2 months out of them with daily use in my 5900 remote. I hope you can mod the window modules for more power. As usual the Tahoe is looking great! Can't wait to see how it turns out. I'm thinking about using the same setup in my car so I'll be paying attention to your window problem. On another note, I know what you mean about not having time to work on your project, with the 12 hour days I have since I started my new job, my build came to a screaching halt!! Best of luck with your build !! Quote 97 Maxima SE Bunch of shit going in, check out the build Build Log
bobonit
Steve, I found this on the12volt. Its a Techtip document from DEI about a 530T Heavy Window Modification. Hope this helps !! http://www.the12volt.com/installbay/file.asp?ID=709 Edit: Direct link doesn't work. Once you are on the installbay page just search on 530t and you will see the "DEI 530t Modification" link. If you don't have a login, let me know, I can email it to you, its only 90kb. My modules came with that info so thats already done...Anyway, So far, using silicon lubricant and wiping the rubber seals clean has made it work all day with no prob. BOBONIT: good link bro, thats exactly what i needed and thats the next step if the window problem becomes a recurring problem. THANKS!
