doug118
how are you going to be running the wiring to/from the amps? I know you already have it figured out but by looking at the amp placement, it looks like it will be a tight little S bend for the power/grounds but like I said, you probably have it all figured out Quote 2001 Tahoe. Eolly
At full tilt whats the operating temp of those amps? Im just curious if the fans will be moving the air fast enough to stop heat pockets from heating the cooler air coming in. Have you thought about doing a flow test will colored smoke? I trust your judgment. Personally I would have kept the fans spaced apart throughout the rack. The three together makes me nervous since they are side by side. Lookin good justa couple more steps and the ipod beat will be replaced , Quote Go check yo lawn homie

I was going to use a relay and use the remte wire to pull the relay in and power from the batt. that way I dont get noise. what is the meade plan ? also if you need some tools check out this site, http://www.tylertool.com/ good prices just thought I would pass it on Edited September 6, 2009 by CLNFREAK

meade916
thanks everyone!! and dont worry, the only hot-pocket here is in my microwave........pepperoni pizza FTW!! and yes, i did do a smoke test but now i need someone to come here with a cigarette so i can put it on video :D Anyway it works great, no need for concern. Remember, there was amps under the box before and they had Zero, none, notta, ZILCH airflow. I get claustrophobic just thinking about it.......so even one fan duct-taped to an open crack on the side of the box would have been an improvement. It takes VERY LITTLE air flow to make improvements, trust me this isnt my first time using fans.
