its deffinately worth cutting up your baby for a drop down box mine holds 3 and it was wayyyy worth it for the room.

also whoever welds it in make sure they weld it to the frame in some manner, i know its a given but you really gotta be sure a flange wont cut it

also, welding the rack to the frame is mandatory - especially with 5 D3100's comin in at 385lbs -
