andym85
Ok so one last example just to clarify lol... 1000.1 at 2ohms going to 2 subs (being the amp puts out 1000 at 2ohms). Each sub will receive a total of 500 watts RMS. Correct? If this is the case I need to read more, being 15 i must of just assumed and hoped. All well better to learn this now then later. http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/public/style_emoticons/default/dirol.gif (btw i umpired all summer to get the money for the system lol, many people jump the the conclusion its all daddy and mommy... if they had it their way The trailblazer would still be 100% stock and we all know thats no fun)[/size] correct...if u give ur amp a 2ohm load, and ur r running two subs, then each will see 500watts i likes me some audio stuff... J00bles
yes, that is correct. 1000 watts/ 2 = 500 you should look into getting a larger amp, and a better electrical 8 DC Level 4 M2 15s2 DC Audio 5ks26^2 clamshell tuned to 30hz9 Kinetik 1400sMechman externally reg'd 340 S seriesin a 99 Jeep Cherokee Click to see J00bles' Youtube Channel

GoldElks
How are you getting the signal to the sub amp? Do you have the bose system? That box looks smaller then mine and Im at 9 cubes net Yes sir, I am using a speaker wire to RCA converter. Within the next year I do plan on buying a new HU, the converter was a cheap and easy way to do it. A few plastic panels removed, spliced wires, and some shrink tube. A total of maybe 30 minutes and 60 dollars. And I do realize the preamp output of the stock HU is a joke, that is why i am debating the use of a line driver. The dimensions of the box are 43x20x28 after all displacement i am at 11.5ish.
30Hz.wav
I bet your system can do 140+ with the proper AMP and RCA output setup.... But once you get a better amp you should notice a big difference in your setup...

Quite a few of them have had better results using the bose amps' front door outputs for the converter. At the amp, they are in the bigger connector, all in a row, next to the 4 empty pins LF+ Tan LF- Grey RF+ Light Green RF- Dark Green OOOOOOH, I didn't realize the depth of the box. GoldElks
Okay after looking at various amps, I have come across a few more questions. lol bare with me on this. A few links to new Amp possibilities. If you guys know of better amps feel free to post them. Just for quick reference I am running 2 Kicker L5 15s in series at 2 ohms. Two 750 rms at 1ohm amplifiers would be fine as well. Refurbished is a possibility. http://www.hifisoundconnection.com/Shop/Co...r_by/sell_price Power Acoustik. http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_14910_...MF40001-D-.html I do not know much about Kole Audio... http://www.sonicelectronix.com/item_17385_...X+1-4000D-.html Like I said these are just some possibilities, i didnt necessarily look far and wide to find these lol.
