98HOEONSIXEZ Posted September 7, 2009 Author Report Posted September 7, 2009 when you are putting the d9 amps in the front and putting fans, make sure to get fans with low db rating so they aren't noisy! it will cost a lil bit more than some other cheapo fans but im sure you wouldn't mind paying extra. usually the bigger fans are less noisy(120mm more quiet than 80mm in most cases) somehting like this is ultra quiet http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx...N82E16835185004 edit: the fans that i have in my previous build was a cheapo lot on ebay. something like $15 for 10 fans. its noisy and doesn't move air that much. hey thanks for the link and stuff,but ill proly be getting ones like meade,or grab some from darvex,i really just need like 6-8 small ones to go in the side of the amp rack that goes in under my back seat.The front amps shouldnt get that hott,steve miller runs his amps like mine at .35ohm daily and they barely get warm after wangin on them for a good hour. And if you did already mention it, I missed it, again.....but, are you building the same type of box that you ran for the 15's? subs up port up? 06 2500hd, 6.0L, 4l80e, 4wd, (muah work truck) 7" BDS HC lift kit (5) 37x13.5R18 Toyo Open Country M/Ts (5) 18x10 Moto Metal MO962 tablet in lieu of deck blue tooth interconnect to soundstream eq (for volume control and bass control) 4 Alpine type r 10's 6 cubes net, 80sqin's port, tuned to 33hz 2 brutus brx5000.5's 2 pairs 3" polk audio for a pillars 4 pairs polk audio 6.5 comps 1 pair 8" polk audio for mids 2 xspower d3400 batteries.....learning alot from meade and his circle of some of the baddest installers ive seen- thanks guys, for not being so cocky and posting the way it should be done!P.S.
