andym85 Posted September 14, 2009 Report Share Posted September 14, 2009 coil rubbing is very bad...unless u mean more of a smack..like the coil is hitting the back plate (as in bottoming out)..cause that aint so bad.. but if u push down on the sub and the coil rubs...that is def not good... i likes me some audio stuff... You'll eventually wear through the enamel on the wires, the voice coil will go short and your amp will let all the magic smoke out unless it has a really fast protection circuit ;o EDIT: That's if it actually has coil rub.
