A radar detector is like saying "yeah i speed and i don't care, it's only wrong if i get caught". And don't go using the whole "you speed so i should be able to" defense either. Someone else doing something doesn't justify you doing it. As well, you're dislike of girls and alcohol and anything less then an A also does not justify your doing something wrong, ever. You mind yourself and do what's right, your parents can get their own tickets and pay them with their own hard earned cash. Edit: and you wanna say "fuck my life" after your parents -whom you still live with by the way- forbid you to do something? boy is life gonna slap you hard in the face once you get out on your own.

You abide by their rules until you move out. Sorry to say that, but that's how most parents think of it. Now, you really should check with your local and state laws about the radar detector. A lot of states have it as illegal to use the and/or have them. Even though just about everybody has one in FLAWida, it is illegal. Check that out. Keep the thing in the box until you're in a position to move out and/or pay them their half of the car. Then install it and call it a day. Or do like most kids and install it behind the parents back and let them get pissed one day when you have to take one or both somewhere and they see it. I know that isn't much help and I'm sorry for that. But I've been there, done that, and didn't get away with it (not with a radar detector though).
