BUILD 03 S10 Xtreme (4) Soundstream XXX-18's

Recommended Posts

I like the first one better but I'd make the lower baffle match the upper one like a stretched tunnel and then invert all the subs.

I really would like to do it but there's hardly any airspace to them.... i mean .7-8 cubes each is terrible for a 15

why not do less woofers with more adequate airspace?

would be more efficient. Nice equipment btw!!

I know it would, I mean I wanted cone area but if I cant find a sufficient design I might just end up sticking with the 18s....

Honestly, I would prefer if you do. I mean, you ALREADY have them.

And what happened to the blow-thru? I saw you mention a wall.

I already did a full out walkthru (cutting out the whole back end of the cab), so really all I'm waiting on is myself and seeing if I really want to change to a bunch of smaller woofers for more cone area.

ehhh feck it, I can't decide what I really want to do ...so I'm just going to stick with the 4 xxx-18's, and then maybe change my amps to 8 XXX-4000D's so If I want to change it up later I won't have to worry about switching the amps for the wiring loads

i'm a fan of multiple woofer setups myself. but big subs are also nice. this is gonna be a big install so i'm tuned in. i like what i'm seeing so far. after seeing flipsid's explorer with all those 18's i'd be REAL tempted to do a diamond tunnel
