if your subs are dual 1's here are your choices

a- wire each sub in series.. + to + bringing the load down to .5 for each woofer and than parralel to the amp = 1 ohm

b- wire each sub paralel... - to + on coils making each sub 2 ohms and then + to - from woofer to woofer = 4

as long as i didnt screw that up.. makes sense in my head, if you have questions on wiring your stuff just go to rockfordfosgate.com go to the wiring wizzard and type in what you got. it'll give you all possible wiring combos for your woofers to not blow up

You have a XXV-Collossus correct? which is a 2/1 channel amp.

Wire each sub in series and put each sub on one channel. That will give you a 2ohm load on each channel and it will put out 1100 watts to each sub.

Is that how you have it wired? I guess that is about the only way you could have it wired now that I think about it.

Your running a 2 channel amp that is only stable at 2 ohms bridged... You have it at 1 ohm, with stock electrical.

Lets make it simple for you, you keep doing what your doing, your going to clip your subs to death, and blow up the amp.

Shyne is 100% right, wire each sub in series at 2 ohms, and run 1 sub at 2 ohms per channel.

That amp is only stable at 1 ohm if you use both channels and not having it bridged.

Oooh god you're only running the left channel?!?!

Re-wire it, series the coils on the subs and put 1 sub on each channel.

ok i did an now it still isnt as loud im still getting clipping so i set my gains right b4 my clipping light goes green but it sounds clearer but not as loud as it was

screw a damn '' clipping '' light. just follow what caddy and boon tell you.

i have no idea how you enjoyed full bass boost. that would sound like shit to me but to each their own i guess. no wonder the amp was shutting down though

i did do what they said i went an re wired them each to 2 ohm an put one on the left channel an one on the right channel
