EXOcontralto
thats one hell of a beefy box... im going with the doubled up is so you dont have to internally brace it? Yes, That too is a good benefit - But I mainly used 2 layers for flex factor these massive 18's play on boxes -I've seen video where the top piece literally moves to the excursion of the woofer - having a triple layer baffle will totally prevent that from happening, and having 2 layers of the walls ensures the top assurance The REAL YouTube Page ●▬▬▬▬★▬▬^๑۩۩๑^▬▬★▬▬▬▬● Head Unit - Pioneer DEH-p6000ub Equalizer - Soon To Come Amplifiers - (4) Soundstream TX1.2600d's Subwoofers - (2) Soundstream XXX 18's Enclosure - 16 Cubic Foot Wall Tuned to 38hz Power Wire - (200ft) Tsunami 0 Gauge PRO BIG 3 w/ 8 C&D Batteries Team DBs (Driven By sound)

Marlo Stanfield
actually thats damn near perfect. i have 118 in^2 for 4 18's and it could be bigger if i had room, but it dont need to be. Hell i did 4 18's with 75 In^2 of port (6, 4" Aeroports) and it hit hard as fuck!!! I know it works great in your setup, but is he running like 5k per woofer like you also?? OP didn't mention the power he was throwing at the woofer, I was more assuming that it was on the lower side. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... audiofanaticz
Very nice looking box Exo!!! Congrats on the sub man!! i have 118 in^2 for 4 18's and it could be bigger if i had room, but it dont need to be. Hell i did 4 18's with 75 In^2 of port (6, 4" Aeroports) and it hit hard as fuck!!! Your port volume is so wrong! The only reason it works is because you have so much power going to the subs. But then again, thats why you lose 4+ db when you seal your ride. I think a proper sized port would make your hoe more deadly sealed up.
Marlo Stanfield
guess you didnt watch the vids he says hes going to put 3 to 5k on it No i didnt watch em, but 3k - 5k is a HUGE difference especially on a woofer rated for 2500w daily.. I know it can take more than that, but I'd wait to build an enclosure until after I have my power choice in order. 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer... New setup, old ride... EXOcontralto
guess you didnt watch the vids he says hes going to put 3 to 5k on it Totally bro - I want a surplus of power able to handle it's own, and then some - it's always better to have more than enough, than too little Quite possibly an amp that has ability to run 2 18's in the near future, untill the real system starts rollin in LOL - It's only gettin bigger from here The REAL YouTube Page ●▬▬▬▬★▬▬^๑۩۩๑^▬▬★▬▬▬▬● Head Unit - Pioneer DEH-p6000ub Equalizer - Soon To Come Amplifiers - (4) Soundstream TX1.2600d's Subwoofers - (2) Soundstream XXX 18's Enclosure - 16 Cubic Foot Wall Tuned to 38hz Power Wire - (200ft) Tsunami 0 Gauge PRO BIG 3 w/ 8 C&D Batteries Team DBs (Driven By sound)
