Hunters21w
What actually produces more flex. Is it the tuning of the box or is it just more raw bass? Ive noticed people who tune low ( around 30hz) seem to have more flex then people who tune high for spl comps. People on 10k watts who tune high dont seem to have as much flex as a daily tuned 30hz box with like 3k. Any advice on how to get more flex? thanks Quote 06 Police TahoeHU- Pioneer 80prsAmp- Crossfire 8kSub- 4 15" Crossfire xs v2sWire- 1/0 Knu/AudiotechnixAlt- 3 Mechman SMD 340sBatts- 6 XS Power 3100s, 2400
EricR
the lower the hz the more flex there will be. thats why lower tuned setups can get more flex Quote i was thinking leave the 12 sitting in the box in the hole and duck tape from the bottom of the sub to the bottom of the baffle so the sub doesnt free air. would that work? Sanitarium
lower notes tend to make things move more, but you have to have the power pushing those low notes also. And wasn't there a thread on a guy getting ridiculed for wanting more flex earlier today?

Hunters21w
Im not saying that I want more flex on the box or anything. Im talking about flex on the vehicle itself. Whats wrong with vehicle flex? Marlo Stanfield
You don't want flex, it releases pressure there fore decreasing SPL... Plus replacing parts on your car is no fun when they break from flex. But if you do want flex(hahaha) then you could cut sum braces and take out whatever stock sound deadening you do have lol. Whats wrong with vehicle flex? Panels in the car will absorb the energy and you get less sound in the car because of this.
