1992Chevy K1500
Yeah, they were checked with an Oscope, but, i was just reading another thread about using and not using the remote knob, and yes, i was using a knob, and i didnt put it in til recently. Could that have something to do with it? Oh, btw, they are still playing, just the bass is not as deep as they were, they sound like some 10's on like 400 watts now I've heard that the knob could cause them to clip. And I've also heard that some songs can cause a clip while others won't. Not sure how true that is, but I heard it somewhere. Forget where now. AI James
So these brand subs are prone for catching on fire or it just case by case? I invested alot of time, energy and MONEY on this and i would hate to do it all over again unless i really have to, but since im not bumping nomore, and i dont want to buy any more RE subs, whats a good buy for like 400- 500 bucks on 2-12's on my amp? not sure ive never personally had the issue myself but i have seen on other forums spiders catch fire from to much power or from tinsils just being to long and slapping it enough that it catches fire

Noobtastic14
If they're both working then you could have burnt a tinsel on one or both woofers. Also, if you burnt one there is a chance that now its working like a "passive radiator" and still looks like its working but isnt. -Drew Quote I am a United States Military Arts and Crafts Professional. Some songs are clipped....many mixtapes, gucci mane, and various other tracks are clipped in there original studio form.
