kingsuv Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 If it took this long to machine this 1 part, I wonder how much longer to machine the rest of the parts Looks good, Can't wait to see a finished product. Designing, building, and shipping boxes. Yahoo IM - kingsuv00If the listening level is too loud, please inform the driver, so he can promptly pull over, and let you out. not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it.
ssackett Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 Pretty interesting idea for cooling... He did mention how the pole piece was interlocking with the bottom plate.. Im sure tooling for all these parts is VERY expensive.. Team S.S.C. HHR Ed Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 I've never burnt a coil on T3 woofers. The old aluminum cone woofers on the TS and TSS had their limitations. The new T2000 is a powerhouse and I have tested the coils up to 8000w rms for 30 minutes with no issues in reliability. The new coils are among the highest gauge in the industry. And the new cones are carbon fiber, I found that the aluminum cones were bending at about 2600w ea. The new cone and suspension is built for 10k +. And the TSNS is built for 20K plus Ed Lester ShowtimeSPL Host Showtime Electronics Video MarketingMy old Build Loghttp://www.stevemead...08/#entry511451http://www.youtube.com/showtimespl 5 time dB Drag Finalist Last ride 2007 HHR, current dB 153.5 and bass race 149.4 dB. 153.0 dB on music New Ride, 2008 HHR SS. HHR Ed Posted November 6, 2009 Report Posted November 6, 2009 At European finals, our SS-NW guy did a 164.7 with 1) 18" The old TSNS was last produced about a year ago, and we have had about 20 intermediary pieces produced since then. The new one has only been in development since March.
