hdc vs. BL

There is a large difference between the 2. Not as easy as saying flip a coin. Hell, if weight means anything a BL 18 weighs in at 37lbs (my 08 models did anyways) and the HDC3 18 is close to 65LBS. Rather large motor difference there obviously. An HDC3 is similiar to its cousin DD.

my 2009 fi bl 12 weighs like 45 pounds

Setup:

Headunit: 7" indash screen

Sub: fi bl 12

Amp: Audioque 1200D

Box Ported tuned to 34hz

Big 3 done in 1/0 gauge

pertaining to this, i havent Spoke to anyone directly related to AQ, but theres rumors that the newest rendition of the AQ Heavy Duty Series are now assembled here in the US rather then in china, i havent seen any yes or no from DJL, but would be nice either way to know from a horses mouth other then a rumor.

The "C" in our model numbers is to let people know that some or all of the parts are from China. Most magnets and baskets for most sub companies are sourced off shore as well as some soft parts like cones, spiders&surrounds. We tell you up front. We fully comply with Federal Regulations as to whether a product is "made in the USA" or "assembled in the USA". Many companies do not.

All of the HDC series are hand assembled at our facility in Oklahoma City. The copper coil series uses Chinese parts. The aluminum coil series is also hand built in OKC but uses American spiders and coils. The motors are built in China to our specs. Recone kits are hand built in OKC.

The SDC2.5 series uses all Chinese parts. Sub assemblies (spiders/coil/cone ) and motors are built in China. Final assembly is done at our OKC facility as well as QC testing and power testing before shipment.

Our amps are built in South Korea. Our comp sets are built in Germany. NONE of our amps are built in China and never will be.
