Cop kills 2 innocent people and gets paid leave.

Remind me how he's misusing his power? If he WAS lights&siren but not on a call that's misuse of power but this is just one guy behind the wheel of a car that happens to be a police cruiser...

I'm not entirely certain we're getting the full story here. Why would someone do something as stupid as that in full knowledge that it was all on both his and the other car's video recorders?

Last of all, the reason he's on paid leave is because last time I checked the justice system went INNOCENT UNTIL PROVEN GUILTY.

so a. I suspect we're not getting all the details here, remember the media will ALWAYS spin a story

and b. Until a court says he's guilty, he's not, so why take away his pay? Sure, once he's found guilty (which it looks like he damn well will be) biff him in jail and throw away the key but until then, keep a slightly open mind huh?

A open mind to what? Maybe if he was on call and had lights on yes, but to not be doing either, what looks like two cops dicking around in the cruisers. One eventually killing 2 innocent teens? That's fine that he is innocent until proven guilty, but he damn sure shouldn't get paid leave for this.

About the cop not doing 94 mph, you must not drive, because the dash cam showed the cop with the cam go from about 65 mph to 70+ mph in a heart beat and the other squad car still kept getting farther. And to still be pulling away the other squad car had to be going AT LEAST 10 mph faster (learned that in drivers ed.) and 80+ mph still looked too slow for how fast that car was moving.

And about the kids turning in front of him, the did what they had the right to do. Like it was posted earlier, there was a couple flashing light, which means the automatically need to be treated as a 4 way stop, and since the cop didn't have his light on that means he just another driver on the road nothing more or less special than you and me.

So that cop should not just NOT have paid leave, but he should have his charges be SPEEDING, RUNNING A STOP, AND MANSLAUGHTER if not 2nd DEGREE MURDER.

And those are just the charges off the top of my head.

I can't tell whether the yellow or red light is flashing. Most likely it's a flashing yellow with the flashing red facing the side streets. Not a four way stop.

Wow thats crazy. If he didn't have his lights on and wasn't responding to a call he had no reason for speeding. He should be charged for that. I'm all for cops but this just proves how some of them misuse their power.

Yeah, forgot about that. But you can't tell which one's flashing in the vid.

And look in the first part of the vid, it looks like the one light that's not flashing changed from green to yellow and the cop went under it after it hit yellow. I can't tell for sure, but the position of the light moves up when it flashes.

yep but im guessing youve never made any kind of mistake, were humans, we make mistakes, i dont take death as seriously as most(mainly because of my line of work) but shit happens. people arent perfect. hopefully someone learns from this. it takes a traumatic incident for most people to try and fix a serious issue. obviously the standards of this P.D. have to be some what low to hire someone this immature. i know most of the cops in my area and none of them would pull something like this because they take thier job very serious. this guy was just dicking around. but he needs to be punished for actions.
