bigmightymike24
i was considering buyin a rockford fosgate 1/0 awg amp wiring kit but came across a cheaper price on a STINGER 0 gauge wire. I was wondering if the stinger brand had some legit quality to its wires? Has anybody tried the stinger wires and is there any difference in brand when it comes to wires??/ Like do some brands try to cheat you with less wire in the rubber insulation? Or is the matieral used in the wires different with price? Or do some wires just work better than others?? PLEASE HELP IM IN URGENT HELP! Mosin
IMO I'd say the Kicker wiring kit. Very, very flexible. Quote Derp.
Mosin
http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/ind...cker+wiring+kit This thread shows a comparison between the 2 brands (Kicker Hyper-Flex and KnuFleks) but Decaf, on post #14 had a good point. Either way, you can't go wrong. Edited November 27, 2009 by solo_x18 Quote Derp.
Marlo Stanfield
i was considering buyin a rockford fosgate 1/0 awg amp wiring kit but came across a cheaper price on a STINGER 0 gauge wire. I was wondering if the stinger brand had some legit quality to its wires? Yes they do, Stinger Pro is sum very good wire. Has anybody tried the stinger wires and is there any difference in brand when it comes to wires??/ Yes, some wiring is better or worse than others. This is due to strand count, what type of wire it actually is, and for install purposes flexibility of the wire. Like do some brands try to cheat you with less wire in the rubber insulation? Yes they make a thicker jacket with a smaller strand count to make the wire appear larger than it seems. Outside might be the same size of a regular 1/0 wire, the actual wire inside could be 2ga or 4ga in some cases Or is the matieral used in the wires different with price? CCA(copper clad aluminum) is cheaper than oxygen free copper wire, because copper is more expensive. Copper is also a better conductor of electricity than aluminum is, so the pure copper wire is better quality vs. the same size/strand count wire that is CCA Or do some wires just work better than others?? Already answer that for ya in the previous questions PLEASE HELP IM IN URGENT HELP! There ya go man, hopefully that helps out. Best 1/0 wiring kits out there IMO are the Kicker Hyperflex kit and this one from Knukonceptz - http://www.knukonceptz.com/productDetail.cfm?prodID=KFX-PK0 Quote 1998 Ford Explorer Eddie Bauer...
