Kris, stiff isnt the word! They are VERY STIFF, cant believe how stiff that suspension is. My BL's were never anything like that. I love it. Cant wait for my 4. ya'll should have seen our faces the first time Brian started up the truck, and hit that IPOD buttom to play "houston oilers"....we were damn surprised how nice those AQ's sounded. Even on volume 10 on his kenwood, pounded like no other. I am getting an Oscope shortly, so we'll have all the gains dialed in on both our vehicles, and Kyle (bulletinjection) your more then welcome to stop by the house, and tune your shit as-well.......JUST WATCH OUT, I HAVE MY EYES ON THE SUNDOWN 100.4 :P

I love my staffie :good:

So anti FACEBOOK it isn't even funny

Thanks for all the positive comments guys!

Little update: Just ordered some q-logic kicks last night (so no more 6x9's mounted to a board).

Decided to mount my 6.5" subs in the doors, just gotta figure out how imma do it (fiberglass will be involved).

Got my amps mounted long ways along the transmission hump (tight as hell just like every other part of the build so far, lost a set of RCA cables in the process R.I.P.)

Will try to get a new video soon as the subs break in. This time the truck will be sitting still so i can capture some flex :hairtrick:

Box isn't ideal for the subs, but seems to hit pretty well. Once you get bored with it recone to alum coils and grab 2 more 2200's and a few more Deka's. Should kill the lows pretty well.

AQ and DC are 2 of the best out there...

Box is small on purpose, 1 2200 each @ 15.3 volts will be pushing the subs fairly hard, with a ~slightly~ smaller box to handle the over extension, the subs should last a long time regardless.

Thanks for your opinion though.

subs will take a LOT of power in that small enclosure. With alum coils you can run 2 2200's per sub daily. AQ's like big boxes, but will work in smaller enclosures, just not ideally.

I've dabbled with a few AQ set ups ;)

^^ he knows and has built many setups with aq

2 aq2200s is what i would power those with if i was u (im cautious as well)

the suspension is so stiff u dont have to build it small to help control the cone

ive sat in 5 aq setups all tuned to 36-40 all overpowerd by 1000+ watts, in mikes case 2 aq3500s per 15alum

u need the extra power to overcome the high bl and stiff spiders tho

was only 1 3500 per sub when you heard it last year.

For coppers he has the right power, but if/when he goes to alum coils then more power will bring them alive.

I also wonder about the low (36Hz) tuning as my experience with blow throughs/front firing sealed off trunks has been that the panels effectively extend the port and drop tuning even more. That's why I think he'll have a low end killer and will beat his poor truck to death...
