meade916
ya i took it down, he is not part of this forum anymore. Also, since i went out to the back yard in 100% humidity (its raining and drizzle out right now) and successfully bonded a piece of suede AND a piece of vinyl to the side of a plastic bucket with no prep whatsoever, dirt and all, i dont think his results are worth leaving up on the site. I think he needs to learn how to do what he is doing before he complains about the product. I just glued those materials in the worst possible conditions and so far its just as good as any other spray can adhesive i have used. meade916
just went out and tossed a piece of 1/8" backed vinyl (from the tahoe rebuild) and some other vinyl from Chickens doors (more expensive, different backing then the other) and both of those stuck just as good. the can does have a TON of pressure in it, as you can imagine, so on a fresh can i suggest if you want the glue to "web" out a little more instead of being so liquidy, hold the button down about halfway. Aim it at your trash can till you get the consistancy you want and you will know how far to push it until the pressure levels out a little more. Hunters21w
Thats cool that you tested it in those conditions. Maybe you could post a vid so others dont have the same problem? Ive never seen it done so even I would like to see it. meade916
nahh not interested in making a video of me gluing chunks of vinyl to the side of a bucket, not today anyway.....its probably best if i was to do that, to actually have it be better conditions outside and properly prep the substrate. I just went out there and did about as basic of a bonding job as possible. A quick shake, a quick slice of a few materials, and slapped them on. It seems to hold good. It would hold much better im sure with proper prepping. That goes for ALL glues. Upholstery glue shot out of a spray gun wont stick right either if you dont do it right - Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! kirill007
I think it's cool from meade to try all kinds of things and then post his experience with it.
