meade916
to the people asking about getting that "boot" over the terminal after doing this, its easy, just heat it for a few seconds with a heatgun or even your girls hair dryer. It will get soft and slip right over the top. 1 Quote All SMD products + MORE available at my store here! https://wccaraudio.com/ Subscribe to My Youtube Channel! Over 1,000,000 subscribers strong! Jahosaphet
Just did this yesterday.. Learned it about 6 years ago at school tho for soldering on big battery lugs.. (School was MMI) and. We used them for main batt cables on boats.. Had the big over sized crimpers for them witch when done properly is very effective, but in a marine enviroment that solder puddle keeps corrosion out alot better.. Also like to put heat shring on them and over lap the lug hole very slightly and push it out way with bolt.. Gives a clean look imo

Markous
I was going to ask, is there any point in soldering (with an iron obviously) a bare end of wire for connection to an amplifier? It seems that the wire gets pushed down (crushed even?) pretty good by screw terminals.
