a_steezy Posted December 29, 2009 Report Share Posted December 29, 2009 buy 1 from the junk yard and get sum buddies and do it yaself bro good learning experience best way to learn and save the moolah. x2 i'm replacing the tranny in my truck as we speak. actually i'm replacing it and upgrading it to a better one, swapping t-cases, doing everything. it's easy to do, i pulled mine in a couple hours. disconnect crossmember (have a jack under rear of tranny/t-case), pull drive lines, disconnect shift levers etc., unbolt the tranny from the motor, wa-la really not that bad, look up some vids on youtube or something '98 Dodge Durango 5.9L 5% front windows, 2.5% on all backs Alpine CDA-9883 Kicker ZX350.4 Kicker KS650's in all doors Kicker 1/0 hyperflex Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

Chevy, Ford...they all break and seem to be crap anymore. On topic...check to see what your powertrain warranty is. Some have 5 year 60k mile powertrain warranties. Just call up Ford and ask.
