i'm replacing the tranny in my truck as we speak.

actually i'm replacing it and upgrading it to a better one, swapping t-cases, doing everything.

it's easy to do, i pulled mine in a couple hours. disconnect crossmember (have a jack under rear of tranny/t-case), pull drive lines, disconnect shift levers etc., unbolt the tranny from the motor, wa-la

really not that bad, look up some vids on youtube or something

Yes buy one from a broke ass company. Lol. Chevy, Ford...they all break and seem to be crap anymore.

On topic...check to see what your powertrain warranty is. Some have 5 year 60k mile powertrain warranties. Just call up Ford and ask. Not sure when they started doing it, but I know they did

I thought Ford had a 5 year 60k powertrain warranty. Maybe that's just on the new models.

I'd hit up a Ford Dealer and see if you have any warranty left ASAP.

i have no idea im going to have to take it by the dealership tomorrow and see what they can do but its outside the 3 year 36.000 mile warranty bullshit that ford has.

5 year 60000 mile powertrain.

you can cook bacon shirtless if you're not a pussy...lol

not hatin, but am i wrong here it looks as if the amp is not grounded its hooked directly to the battery. it that the way it should be.

I'm lucky mine hasn't went yet....155,000 miles on one of the weakest tranny known to GM....but I think its had the tranny rebuilt before I bought it.

had the tranny done in my 98 z71. 2200 later................

seems about right. i bought 2 fullsize chevys and they had the recipts from where the previous owner had the trans rebuilt. 2200 for a 94 burban and 2600 for a 95 silverado v6
