Refubishing a KX amp

well it seems like you already know that it doesnt work.... so why buy it? why not just save that money and some more and buy one that actually does work, if not then you can try db-r

Kicker dosent have a set price where no matter wats wrong with the amp they fix it for a flat rate. you send it in and then they tell you how much they will charge i already called about basically wat your trying to do and thats wat they told me. heres there number 1-800-256-3746

If it just cuts out sometimes maybe its because the guy has it wired way too low. My ZX750.1 will cut out at 0.75 ohms.. sometimes ;)

Any time you have have a power wire next to your frame put some rubber hosing (or cut up an innertube) around it. The wire is bound to wiggle (due to driving or flex) and the casing will eventually wear through.

Just make sure you dont wire the speakers to less than 2 ohms and the amp should be fine. If something is wrong with it call kicker tech support and talk to them first then if they cant help send it back and they will fix it. Just an idea on cost, I fried everything in a 2500.1 and they fixed it for $85. Not sayin thats what they would charge you but just and idea.
