well, i worked on an old chopped mercury and he didnt want it stolen, we put in door poppers that went into the striker and held it shut unless u had the pager for it or hit a switch under the doors, if its just the issue of being stolen u can put a switch on the turn on wire of ur battery via the ignition cylinder, they cant start it that way(easily) but any car can be stolen.

like some people said, just dont show off in areas where people can identify or follow u. get a decent alarm. use security bolts in ur install, u can get them from parts express, do what u gotta do if ur paranoid about it.

couple years back i saw a guy that had a chain going from his frame, through his floor, through his box, and onto the basket of the woofer.

JUST KEEP PROOF OF EVERYTHING YOU OWN incase your shit gets jacked. atleast pictures if not invoices.

Personally i've always considered electrifying the door handles so anyone who grabs them gets shocked..

I've had this EXACT idea for the Longest time...

IIRC there use to be a alarm that would zap you slightly after warning you was too close. It was kinda like a static electric shock. Not harmful but damn annoying.

I also know a guy that was upset with his neighbors dog pissin on his expensive tires and wheels on his late 70'2 vette. He rigged a electric fense charger up to the car so when the dog pissed on it, it would shock him. Ended up damn near burning his car to the ground lol.

If you don't know how install a kill switch, just take out the starter relay under the hood. Take off your faceplate at all times no matter what when you leave your car alone. Take off your aftermarket wheels and put your stock steelies and hubcaps back on. Try and park your car in busy areas and not far off in the parking lot were nobody looks. Parking near security cameras is a good though. Never beat down the block around your house.

Car accessories like wheels, stickers, are the things crooks look for. If you're one of the idiots that have ROCKFORD FOSGATE across your windshield then you deserve to get jacked.

I agree with getting a killswitch, as i plan on getting one this summer, and also not bumping around your house or where ever your going. I usually turn my system down w/in a mile of my house or work/destination. And if you do have an instance where someone follows you just drive past your block and do circles around an area not located by your house, they'll get the picture. In the end, there's only so much you can do.

i would put security screws on everything not show off to people in your town don't bump hard in your town get a alarm and add a shock sensor where if your windows brake or your shakes it would set off use a kill switch if your insurance insures stereos have that added take pics of your system don't brag about your system if willing to get a ticket's get your windows tinted dark

screws with different heads will help. maybe they dont have one of them and if they do itll slow them down. you can bolt the box to the floor with the bolts inside the box. if you have an SUV, look in my build log for the cover i made for my box to keep it out of sight.
