n8ball2013
Nathan, im gonna be 12krms DAILY...Honestly how many D3100's you think I would be good with....? Seems from your chart I would only.need 2D3100's... but that's not right lol He rates the D3100s at 2500wrms for comps and 5000wrms for daily systems. I prefer using math though. What alt(s) do you have? 1 DC power 270sp but was custom built.from rob... does 198@ idle.... and This for a Warhorse... my plan was.... to put 1D3100 under the hood and use that for the starting battery and for my 4channl & accessories... then 4D3100's in the back dedicated for my Warhorse only... I think you'll be fine with 5 d3100s. The tech behidn the warhorse keeps current draw low. its got a max draw of right around 800 amps give or take. thats a third less than I have for the same power. I thought you were doing two? 1 Quote THERE IS NO BUILD LOG! 1998 Chevy Silverado ext cab Alpine CDA-9887 4 Team Fi 15s 2 Ampere Audio TFE 8.0 2 Ampere Audio 150.4 3 Digital Designs CS6.5 component sets Dual Mechman 370XP Elite alternators inbound! 8 XS Power d3400 6 XS power d680 Second Skin Stinger Tsunami Wiring Sky High A Real Voltmeter not a piece of shit stinger. Crich03
What's the difference between the S1200 and the D1200 and will those batteries fit in a factory battery space? Will I harm my alt if I get a 14v battery instead of a 12v? Supercharged DCs
Will stock alternator & starting battery with a D3100 in the back run a 3200w system for a month or so (it would take me a month extra to upgrade to HO alt...)? I'm a novice with all of this, so thanks for any replies and information Quote Bassless once again. crunkjuice1
I would aim at saving a bit longer and getting the Alt first. If your stock alt can't keep up it might go out on you.
Supercharged DCs
Would definitely not want that to happen... Damn car audio is expensive, but it sure is fun... Do you think a 180amp alt would hold well enough? My local shop gave me a price of $250 or so for one... Edited March 17, 2011 by Supercharged DDs Quote Bassless once again. m1dg3thunt3r
quick question, im gonna be running an audioque 2200d, big 3 in 0awg in a 2000 passat w a 120amp alt with amp running at 2 ohms, what battery would be best for me if i only wanna replace the one under the hood, biggest size i think i can use is the d2700, so would that bee too much or a good idea, and also, when you buy the batteries from say mechman, do they come with the posts for the battery or do you have to buy them? Nathan @ XSpower
You cant put to big of a battery in there, so if you can fit the D2700 then I would put it in there. You would need to check with the dealer to see what they put in the batteries for you, but the D version of the batteries do not come with terminals from here.
