Yeah, i did this once before on my tahoe. I'm not sure if 2wd and 4wd are the same but on my 4wd, I got the torsion bar unloader that i rented at autozone i think autozone( Looks like a C clamp ). It should come with instructions on what to do. Or you can get a write up from autozone too.
