az73 Posted March 26, 2010 Report Share Posted March 26, 2010 when that happens on a boat its cuz the vent has gas in it and wont allow the air to "vent" out of the tank as you fill it up. it does sound like its building up pressure and not letting it vent out. Baydestrian Posted March 27, 2010 Report Share Posted March 27, 2010 fuel sender I have this issue intermittently in my caddy, it will only fill up like 12 gals and I can't pump more then I turn on my car and its a mark short of full. My Caddy is supposed to hold 18gals but only holds 14-15 due to this too, a guy on the caddy forum said its the fuel pump sender.
