6 Crossfire 18s Hummer RE-RE-RE-RE-BUILD

I'm mad I missed the show, friend of mine drove up to get some new dd9500, he didn't plan on going to the show, and even though im ampless, would have loved to have been able to hear this thing! As well as Steve's exterra and Bj's cavialer...and numbers are not everything.., I'm pretty sure if you wanted a 160 plus db build, that's what you would have. As long as your happy with it, at the end of the day, that's all that matters! My friend that did make the show, the first car he called me about was the black hummer, could not believe what he was seeing. Hell, he never even talked about numbers, just the box, amps in the roof..etc etc..So, it deff has a "wow" factor!

ok since you all think ill back out and not say what i feel about it fine. first off i never said im an amazing builder at all. Im just saying this build could and should of been diff. first off i did not know that ed told you should of only done 4 subs in that manner he is correct, because I personally know whats good for those subs because i talked to the man who designs and makes them.

First the box the tunning is wrong to be able to actually play music well. the port is not long enough and doubt big off. not thing about the box you dont screw plexi together you bond it and you dont use silicone on it because when it drys you can see it. then it looks like ed tried to cover it up with the red tint plexi im sorry but with all the money and time in this build you should be able to do better ed i've seen much better work from you.

Next why dont you explain why one of the SMD's blew and shot sparks out from the motor and the box was filled with smoke? i was told that by trippi himself if you all dont believe me! Lets look at those amps that you set ed.. hmm i believe looking at them on low volume with a song without a strong bass note every sub amp was clipping... seriously? you cant even use a O scope to set the amps? this caused the sub's coils to what im guessing in spider and hit the motor causing a short. Also i smelled the coils on very little power.... hmm not good. and cover up the batteries and wire.

For that amp rack in needs more strength to hold all that damn weight.

I will say the highs sounded amzing and were very clear as i expected because there are so many and trippi i was beginning to tell you this stuff and you seemed very interested but i believe you got side tracked or what not and im sorry for not saying this to you personally yesterday.

I didn't say anything to you ed because we had enough bull shit happening their to begin with.

So since you all think a pussy their is your answer!

i know im going to regret getting into this but....

criticism is great, of course everyone might have a diffrent way of doing things, but to go and bash on ed? cmon man, ive personally seen the hummer and it looked great, now...have i heard the subs playing NO i have not so i really couldent get into any of that, but in my eyes the blood sweat and tears from orphan children that ed had put into that damn hummer has made it one of the sicket hummers out there, is it the best? nope, is it up there? hell yes it is, ed did state that this is NOT a numbers set up, its pure fun/show, most of us knew that, and you seem to aswell, well kind of

bottem line dude, if trippi loves it, then i dont see any damn problem with it, weather its shit brown insted of red, or 1 12 aside from 6 18's. but dont go and bash ed man seriously? your just taking low blows, do you have every right to say your opinion on the way it looks? yes you sure as hell do, but calling out ed like that is uncalled for

The only thing that scares me with this build and I will agree with boomer on, is the amp rack mounted on the ceiling. Other than that, it's not for numbers, but for show and it looks great. Haven't seen it in person and can't imagine it will stay looking great for a long period of time with that much air moving, but it's like the say; 'To each their own'.

The amps on the roof is probably causing a big loss in numbers amongst a few other things, but who cares. Trippi's happy. Let him be happy. As, for taking it to PM, why? It's not like he calling anyone names or anything. He's just pointing out flaws. All it will do is help Trippi either do it better next time or make the person saying it, look bad.

I am confused as to the O scope part though. Was it not all set with a scope? If not, I cannot understand why you would go that far and not O scope that bad boy.

Trippi, Ed, It looks bad-ass regardless. I would just require people to wear helmets while getting demo's

I agree..there's nothing wrong when it's done right. Obviously, john doesn't see that. First let me say that I think you're a coward. You had all day to bring this to either my or Ed's attention but you waited til you got back home where it was more comfortable and started typing away. For you to say that you tried to talk to me is a lie...I was there for about 5 hours and I even came over to your whole crew and said peace when I was leaving. And then for you to throw these jabs at Ed like you guys have beef is petty. It seems like you only posted this to prove a point that you weren't a pussy...but really you already proved that you were when you didn't say it face to face. If you have any personal problems with anyone in TDH let it stay between yall, because that's what I did. I can't speak for Ed but I am totally open to anything that you or anyone else has to say..pros and cons. Just be respectful and helpful like I know we would be. Like I said before this isn't that serious for you not to say something to me about it and although I only met Ed a few months ago, I'm sure he feels the same. Niether one of us are that full of pride. And again, If anything is wrong with that box design, it's my fault. He did the best he could have with the space, equipment and instructions he was given. I'm happy with it. Point blank. I love the way it sounds and looks. The only reason I might change anything is if the amps are at risk of being damaged..something he and others warned me about..but I was set on seeing all of them on the headliner. And for the other things you pointed out, Ed can respond. But listen john, I refuse to go back and forth with you on here about this so do me a favor and stay off this thread. You are really not trying to be helpful. If it's really that important to you to show your tuffness start it up on another thread.

Here's my question. Trippi you spent how much on this? And you're happy with it? (those are rhetorical lol ) That's all that matters. You'll always have someone who coulda woulda shoulda did it this way. Especially when its all pipe dreams to have something like that.
