Mr. Darkjustice Posted April 7, 2010 Report Share Posted April 7, 2010 so my friend thinks i should try to drop a grand prix engine into my car. either the 3.8 or the 5.3 engine thats in the GXP models. he also mentioned somethin about a northstar engine. i plan on lookin into it to see if it would even be possible. yes i know how impractical and a waste of money it would be, but i figured id get some feedback on the idea. itd be goin in the first gen model fusion. Built Ford tough with Chevy stuff If you want a "fast" car sell the fusion and buy something else... Or look into turbocharging it, might be able to get custom pistons and rod and then get the block and head machined for beefier headstuds. I dunno if there are any performance parts for that car... Not into the whole ford thing. You're better off getting another car or modifying your existing motor. If you're dead set on a new motor you should be looking at similar models/setups like a Taurus for example. Back in the day it was pretty popular for people to put Sable motors in Contours.
