Bachwacker
Has anyone ever added bigger wire from the alternator to the battery(trunk)if you have i would really like your insight on this project because I have started a build in this car but I need to add a battery or pull bigger wire and do an alternator before I add a second Amp. baaudio
Its been done many times before. Just be sure to fuse it near the alt and near the batt. newls1
not sure why you need pix, however..... run a length of wire from back of alt, to batt (I think you said your stock batt is in rear possibly) then do the needed grounds, and your BIGIII is complete. Remember, your not removing any factory wire, just adding onto what is currently there.... white4d96
Biggest you can get your hands on/fit in your car. Most people use 1/0; I used 4 because, frankly, that was/is all I could afford. Bachwacker
Hopefully this is my last dumb question for the day... If you only had money to do one (like me right now) what would you do first add a cable or add a battery?

If you only had money to do one (like me right now) what would you do first add a cable or add a battery? you need cable for a second battery. But to answer your question, I'd add the cable (big 3) because it's generally cheaper Quote On 5/8/2011 at 7:38 PM, Kranny said: On 5/8/2011 at 7:35 PM, 'Maxim' said: It hurts me inside when I read stuff like this and remember you're 15 LMFAO so true Mitsubishi 3000GT (Old Build) Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: (2) McLaren Audio MLT-2 Tweeters & (4) PRV Audio MR Series Neo 6.5" Mids Substage: 4 15" Hybrid Subs - Tantric Motors & Sundown Softies Amps: Banda 2.4D Amp (Tweets), American Bass VFL 350.4 (Mids), and (2) Ampere 3800s Electrical :Singer 260A Alt & JY Power Lithium 2005 Chevy Colorado Ext Cab Headunit: Pioneer 80PRS Frontstage: 4 PRV 700Ti Tweets & 6 10" Delta Mids on 3000wrms Substage: 6 Fi BTL 18s in a 4th Order Walkthrough on 3 Wolfram 4500s Electrical: Singer "390" and JY Power My Official Feedback Thread
