subsonic setting on amp

i have a aq2200d and i was wondering where the best place to set the subsonic would be. It can be anywhere from 10 to 50 hz.

Its like your lowpass setting, only instead of filtering out high notes on your subs, it filters out dangerously low notes, I usually put mine around where I think 18hz would be so it would filter out notes below 18hz

What is your box tuned at? You should set it a bit below box tuning. If your box is tuned to 35 hz, setting your SSF to 18 hz isn't going to do you much good.

Set it for like 8hz below your tuning. That should be fine, can always move it up a bit if it's too low.

Or you can use a test tone that's 10hz(or below port tuning,and set the subsonic at max first, and lower it till you think it reaches max excursion without damaging the driver.

Find your box tuning and play a tone (on repeat) that's 5hZ under at 1/2 to 3/4 volume. Turn the subsonic up slowly until the note starts to cut out then you know your roll off starts there.

But alot of people dont have the time money or resources available to figure their actual frequency, and if you're going around playing 10 to 25hz sine waves for normal driving time, then you're kinda slow, if you pay attention to what you're playing there's no problem with guess or turning it all the way down, that's not the right way to do it I understand that but you can't always be perfect.

Edit: and my box isn't 35hz, that's old, I'm just usualy on my phone so I havnt updated anything, if you were even talking to me lol.
