good deal 8in sub?

ok i went to a local shop today and they have the maxpro lanzar 8's for $65 a piece. im looking to get 4 8's and i want to get the sundown 8's. but for $65 for the lanzars is this a good deal. they are d4 800wt subs.

800 watts max, prob 150 or 200w rms.. Im not gonna lie, if you want to do 8s, save up for the SA-8s its worth it, from what ive seen

dont take this the wrong way...but youre an idiot. i know it sounds harsh, and thats not how i mean it. just..there are some things that are EXACTLY what you paid for. finding good deals are one thing, but going the cheapest route wont work out at all. especially with lanzars. i have installed for many people trying to spend as little money as possible...i have to say one of the worst things i have ever heard.

but if youre set on these lanzars, check them out online. both for reviews (im assuming you dont have firsthand experience or you wouldnt be thinking about them) and for cheaper prices.

if youre not looking for something with the sundowns pricetag i would reccomend looking at RF p1 or p2s, kicker cvrs, diamon audio d3s, infintity references, or jbl gtos. all of those are available in 8" subs that can actually be listened to without wanting to shit in your ear just to hear something nicer.

yeah thast what i was thinking. but shit right at $250 for 4 8's wouldnt be a bad deal. and im not knocking DD at all but ive been to 2 diff shops here in NC and they have quoted me like a million dollars for 4 8's. i just need to pull the trigger and get the SA 8's. but everydamn time i have the money to buy them something always comes up. and im still trying to save for either a DC 18 or FI 18. and new alt and new this new that. the frigging list never ends.

For $65 a peice, you might as well get some RE 8" subs. I've heard good things about them even though they are only rated 175rms (I think). Also, as TeamHT said, diamond d3's, JBK, infinitie's. They all make some good 8s. Look into that.

Jacob is currently testing the new Sundown e8 subwoofer, which will be cheaper than the sa8. No time frame on when it will come out, but a pre-sale probably wouldn't be TOO far off if you're not in a hurry to get them (assuming he will do a pre-sale like he normally does).

SA-8s seems to be popping up here and there in for sale ads. You can get them for like...what, 110-120 shipped? Something like that. Anyway...good luck searching.
