Jeff puts 1500 or more to his DD 2500's (ideally the same sub, 2.5" coil ) Steve Milton says his subs shouldnt survive period ....you honestly need more power IMO I have 6 2515's on a Stetsom 10k. They love it but they get hot pretty quick. DD (not sure about AQ) use top-secret high strength seals to keep the magic smoke inside their voicecoils. 10.x volts fo' life!

corey0928 Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 Another thing is that your tuning is lower and it's hard to get high numbers on low tuning so it's not just power, but do a sine wave and see what you peak at. I'm sure if you will peak a little higher than 36

skittlesRgood Posted May 3, 2010 Report Posted May 3, 2010 ya i would be disappointed with that number too. get your hands on an AC clamp meter and test how many watts you are really getting out of that amp. whats your final load(ohms)? when i tripled my power i gained 5db and i believe that doubling your power at 146db will get you a 2.5db gain.
