Tek
I like the feeling of darkness inside of my car, as well as keeping it a little bit cooler in the summer months. The only problem is, Michigan law prohibits tint on the front side windows. I was wondering if 50% tint makes a difference or is even worth it for that matter. I would like 35% but I don't want to get pulled over for it.
TeejayBee
50% does a good deal on the windshield as long as your other windows are tinted too.
Tek
yeah? What about the front side windows?
wL<3bass
My factory was 70% and right now I'm running 28% percent when corrected for the factory tint and the 35% I ran... and honestly I have had 0 problems b/c it's and SUV the rear is factory 15%... It doesn't look all that dark when I get the extra money I'm gonna go with 5% all around. bigredishott
couldnt tell you I always went with 5% in the back windows and I think it was 15% on front. I cant remember was so long ago since I tinted glass. Anyways, if you do it post a pic or 2 so we can see. I need to tint my glass, but don't wanna be harrassed by the jake! Tek
it doesn't have to be that dark to get pulled over, it just has to be dark ENOUGH, and thats what I am trying to avoid.
baaudio
if your interior is light you would prolly get away with 35%. if you get pulled over just use the "i bought it this way excuse". it seems to work for people Quote Team NWSPL baaudio Build Log 2001 GMC Sierra walkthrough 4 Mechman Elite 370s, 10 AGM batteries, 3 Crossfire XS v2 18s, Crossfire 8k
audiofanaticz
WI laws are 50% on front windows 35% on rear windows. I got 5% on the fronts, and 5% over the factory 35ish%. No issues yet... IMO 50% is a waste of money, you will barly be able to tell its tinted, at least do 35%. but doing the front windshield stupid imo.. If you ever get in a wreck and its not your fault, Im sure they will find every way possible to make it your fault, since its illegal in every state.
