World's Loudest Ground Pounders, (non walled)

Recommended Posts

hehehe no worries, 46 hz it´s still a very low frequency for burping, weird tho, my explorer peaks @ 51 hz right now, but the lower i peak the louder it gets, beats me!!

  • 1 month later...

i figured i'd post up in here, i don't expect to be considered for this list, as there's some truly great builds here, but my intentions are to make the top 10 list in the next couple of months with my current rebuild,

anyways, here's addition...

The setup

corona wagon, subs & port up above window line, 2 seperate boxes tuned @ 24hz... and the boxes are easily removable...

The scores

official - 149.1db @ 40hz

PB - 149.7db @40hz

also does a PB of 149.2 @ 30hz

and 147.6 @ 25hz...

metered outlaw, sensor in the kicks and drivers door open

154db @ 32hz

The gear

4x Cadence Beastmaster 15"s d1's, off a USaudio Bonecrusher 5000d, 5000rms @ 1ohm, but currently wired to .5ohm...

it's built 100% as a musical ground pounder, but just happens to peak @ 40hz :(

The proof

here's the link to my DBdrag competitor page HERE

and a vid for the "groundpounder proof"

next season i'm aiming for 155db DBdrags legal

good thread. PERSONALLY i can respect a 150+DB walled car more than a 165DB comp vehicle. i like cars that are street driven, musical set-ups and clean installs more than a subwoofer box on wheels.

Nice install... What made you want to do 2 seperate boxes though instead of one enclosure with the 4 subs in it ???

I'll post pics and the last event page link with my results. I'm on my phone now. Ray, James and others can verify the numbers.

This system is temporary, as many, many are. The plan was for 4-15's, and a .5ohm load on the amp. But, it wouldn't matter on this charging system anyways, lol.
