skittlesRgood Posted May 28, 2010 Report Share Posted May 28, 2010 sorry.. strapped? dont run them strapped. they do better 1 amp per sub. i never heard on crescendo before this thread but ive just spent a while looking at them and i might even buy a pair. they are the old sundown 3000's. those amps have been proven time and time again. and for just about $100 more than that RF amp youll have over 2x the power. dear god dont listen to these noobs talking about kicker comps and punch subs. lol im liking flared ports a lot at the moment because of how easy they are to modify. put them in at full length, test, cut them down an inch, test, repeat. it gives you an easy way to play with the same box to find what works best. going on the large size for a box will be good too. the subs will move more and you can always add bricks to make it smaller. this all might seem a little sketchy but it beats gambling on making the perfect box the 1st time. once you find the perfect combo you can stick with the box or build one to those exact specs. itll also give you more insight into what makes a good box for your business.
