this is the system i built for my aunts car. shes got a 83 olds cutlass and trust me shes crazy as shit and loves her car and system. shes 50 years old now and slams the shit outa her subs like a 16 year old kid lol. wev had several different set ups in her trunk but this 1 is by far the loudest. we went from a single 12 JL w1 ro 2 - 10" pioneers in a 4th order bandpass to 4- 12" in a sealed box. we decided to take all that out and finally do it up right and make it look decent. shes now got a pioneer deck in her dash with an old ass eq running off it. i got 2 amps out of my boneyard and out them in her trunk this time. an old school 6 channel kicker impule ix405d and a crunch pzi1500.1 monoblock. sounds pretty good all considering. this time around we built a 1/2 mdf wod 1/2 fiberglass box and painted it to look like a rock. we stuck to 2ohm diamond 15" D3 subs in it. all 4 guage power/grounds. and big 3 done in 4 gauge. i figured no reason to go down to 1 gauge for that considering its never gonna get turned up to its full power. upgraded the alternator to a stock 1 from a later model impala, just 105 amp. used a kinetic 1800 under the hood along with the regualr battery. i also built some quickie speaker pods to hold the only "new" thing she bought. she got a set of lanzar 5.25 components to go in it and i mounted those on th side pannels of the car next to the back seat. heres a few pics of what i did. i had alot more but they kinda got deleted so il have to take some more and i'll throw them on here as soon as i get them taken. please dont hate on it too bad guys, she is kinda old ya know and the car is dirty as shit from getting the paint done

Euhm, is that LDF?(low density fiberboard?)

I know she isn't going to bang them hard, but i would atleast use MDF.(easier to paint, and it doesn't costs much more, but is stronger.)

no it is mdf 5/8 thick i dont lik the ldf it sux. i know its thinner than usual but it worx fine for her stuff. still slams pretty good

thanx. dont laugh too hard now but she listens to country and bluegrass and a little bit of old rock. its funny as hell idk if u ever heard bluegrass on a system b4 but u will laugh ur ass off at it. she slams the shit outa it to its embarrassing to ride wih her sumtimes
