actually I didnt shoot the subcompact in the 45 or the 40. Ive had a 9 mm before and it just left me wanting more. Didnt want to give up a ton of rounds though. I think the 45 was a 6 and 1 and the 40 was 9 and 1 or 10 and 1 depending on the magazine.

So you were saying how you knew first hand about dropping a 230 lb man.... did you not field dress him before you weighed him lol

ah I gotcha, the recoil on the 40 is more forceful than the 45 imo, but none the less its probably my favorite caliber.

I didnt get a chance to field dress the piece of shit before the cops got there but he was a pretty big boy

yeah the 40 and 45 recoil is extremely close. I do like it though. need to upgrade the sights. Been looking into picking up an AR right now. gotta wait til the baby comes.

  • 3 weeks later...

Im an avid glock lover... I own a G23 .40 and it has NEVER failed to go off when i pull the trigger.. Ive had to pull it several times and half the time the image of the gun itself is enough to scare most would be dumbasses away... It could also be the Crimson Trace on the backstrap that comes on soon as my hand hits the gun

If you are looking for accessories N8 hit me up i can get you everything you need from my Uncle who sells firearms here in VA...

Nice n8.......I like the Kimber Pro Carry myself. (For the wife)

kimber pro carry is nice. i dont care a bit for those cheap ass, soulless, tupperware glocks. i dont trust a piece of plastic with my life. speaking of kimber..... here is my daily open carry, kimber grand raptor. after parts and gunsmith fees, $1,900 invested. 2.5lb trigger, novak front sight, removed ambi thumb safety. shoots a 3" group at 55 feet free handed with 200gr lswc sitting on 5.5gr unique.

IMG00273-20100528-0707.jpg

I carry the same Glock 27 and it is a very fine and reliable weapon. I own 3 Glocks, 27(.40), 19(9mm), 34(9mm), and I have never had a single Fail to fire, load, or eject. You can say what you want about them being a cheap plastic gun but at the end of the day they are one of the most reliable weapons when your life is on the line, if they werent then most police departments would not carry them.

I also just purchased my first 1911 Kimber which is a very very fine weapon, but for daily carry I am just not comfortable carrying it cocked and locked. It takes alot of practice to become comfortable flipping the safety off as you are pulling the gun to be ready to shoot.
