Lol....so many factors....none of them mentioned. Hurting your ears really just depend on the person, and its hard to have an actual idea of sound through video.

What subs, amp, box size, car, what kind of music do you listen to...

Tell me...does this smell like chloroform to you?

4 kenwood kfc w3011's, 2000w rms class D amp, box is 8 cubes, 98 jeep grand cherokee, rap.. or anything that will get loud.

I see boxes tuned at 38hrz frequently, maybe different for your set up though...

higher freqs like 40-50hz give my ears a feeling of the air "drilling" into my canal, while lows like 25-35 "pushes" the whole ear drum..IMO i feel that the lows are felt and hurt alot more.

if you want your ears to hurt, turn your highs up and have that 1k+ hz freq screaming in your ears, they will hurt for sure....

if you want deep chest hurting bass, 35ish tuning will be killer from 30 to 45ish, and thats one of the best frequency ranges on music...
