fli_noize Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 Looks good, I love trunk builds. One thing I noticed in the video was that you turned your head unit up to the max when playing your music. You should find someone that can use a O-Scope because in my experiences those Alpines start clipping at about 21-23. Clipped signal makes for toasty subwoofers so just see if there's someone that can properly tune that for you. Bone Stock 2006 Dodge Magnum SRT-8

Beanz Posted September 26, 2010 Report Posted September 26, 2010 hey try some inquietos or los amos and see how that bumps man im loving this build no lie man That's why they don't deliver. Yer ass better go sit along the side of the road and wait. You can't expect them to travel up some dirt road in a hick / back woods town. Thats how horror movies start I explain things very simply and use analogies in terms of Pickles, and grape drink, pool noodles and jackhammers...if you can't put 2 and 2 together there man, There simply is not much more I can do.

deepsilencer Posted September 26, 2010 Author Report Posted September 26, 2010 its amazing compared ot the hyundai i drove daily before. How did you get the dash apart to do the headunit. first take away the plastic trimming that trims your two middle ac vents located on top of the stereo, you can take it out easily with your fingers(it's a snap on), after that it gives you easy access to take away the side plastic trimming that covers the small 4 factory volts, with both of your two index fingers snap of the sides towards you un till it goes all the way down to the ac unit controls, its hard to place the trimming back so dont take it off all the way trust me you can still have access to remove the the 4 small volts that helps mount the din,its only 4 snap ons that hold the side trimming, once you see the 4 metal things that snap on to the dash your done, before you start removing the 4 volts, go all the way down to the 2 volts that mounts the ac unit controls, loosen them up 1/2ways,so you can remove the din with no struggle and you need extra space to mount the new kit for the new double din, once your done loosing those 2 volts, remove the din's 4 volts, after that your able to take out the stereo, there's 2 harness on the back of the stereo, push the top latch on the plastic on both connections to remove it from the stereo and than the fm cable, that's it your done removing the din from the dash your going to have to buy a after market harness, unless you have other ways to connect the stereo but i wont recommend it,plus it would be hard to obtain the onstar feature once your done connecting the aftermarket stereo, play it and test everything works of course and if its good and running than you can go to the next step slide the din back in and the metra dash kit should go behind the ac unit control's plastic, that's why i told you to screw them 1/2 ways for you to have this access, DONT SCREW the ac volts in yet,do that last! mount the 4 stereo's screws back in to mount the din, than now the 2 ac volts, get the ac vent trimming, connect it to the top of the two side double din plastic trimmings, hold both sides with your 2 hands, slide the ac vent trimming to its place, snap it back on un till you hear them snapping back in,than it would automatically snap the stereo's side trimmings 1/2 ways once your done snapping at ac trimming, go to the stereo's side trimmings, don't pound on them.i seen people pound on stereo trimming and they end up breaking the things that snaps on, if you follow the procedure i know for sure you wont struggle at all, so no pounding hard involved at all, push the snap ons gently, they would snap on nicely/quickly in a heartbeat and whalah!!! your done TEAM FLEX ISSUES,TEAM DC AUDIO 2000 Silverado Ext 1500 v.3 (Walled Silverado) 4 DC Power 270a Alts on A DC Power Quad Alt Bracket XS Power VCM,Stinger Volt Meters 4 AA Mayhem 18s 2 DC Audio 9.0ks Strapped 1 DC Audio 175.4 4 Selenium 6.5s & 4 Selenium 8s 4 Selenium Super Tweeter st350s 72 SQ Ft Of Stinger Roadkill Expert Alpine CDA 9887 XS Power d3400(Hood),6 XS Power d3100s(Bed) & much more..... 2011 Meca CA State Champion & State Record Holder In M5 Meca SPL:158.2 Meca P&P:137.4 DB Drag:159.1 USACI:161.2 BUILD LOG.....YOUTUBE CHANNEL.....FEEDBACK
