BeAlLsTaR13
well right now i have all of my amps mounted in the trunk on an amp rack which is mounted on the box now i just recently upgraded my sub amp which is quite a bit bigger than my other one. my question is, since im gonna have to move amps around somehow/somewhere in the trunk which happens to be on the box, is there anything i can do to help decrease the vibrations from hurting the amps? Slawsen
I took a piece of wood, put my amps on that..put some peal and seal on the back side of the wood then bolted that wood to the back of my box... Mounting it directly to the box isn't really a good idea.. I've knocked internal parts loose that way, lol. HHR Ed
Mounting amps on the box isnt a problem if the box is constructed correctly. Most of my enclosures are the strongest and most firm place in the entire vehicle. Therefore, mounting on my boxes would be the best location. Rogers
yeah... if you have a nice sturdy box it wont be a problem... your never going to get zero vibration no matter what... my amprack is screwed to my box in 4 different spots and then bolted through the floor.... hell the enclosure is bolted through the floor and to the back dash and it still vibrates some...
