SPL box for Solo X

Either do as suggested and point towards the trunk.. or if your going to have it firing into the cabin it NEEDS to be sealed off from the trunk.

No one can tell you what #'s it will do, try and and let us know. Id be interested in the diffrence..

This isnt really at all comparable, but with 2 xfl 12's on like 2k I did over a 144 in the trunk..

So if you can really get close to 5k outta those amps, and your box is solid 142+ should be possible imo.

Setup:

2010 Hyundai Elantra

Factory Unit via 4 chan NVX LOC

Excessive Amperage "H/O" Alt

Xs D3400/ Xs XP3000

Big 3. 2 Runs of +, 2 Runs of -

DD M3b and 2 12" AQ HDC4s

you should be able to do well over a 142 if you have the electrical to back up those 2500's. what exactly do you want numbers or some massive daily beats? just because your not hitting over a 142 doesnt mean its not loud to the ear. the way it looks your setup for more "show" than spl. if your after numbers id rip out that trunk and do a rear fire box with no custom trim panels. build a box with aeros so you can test and tune until you reach the decibels your happy with.

i did a setup in my brothers cavalier, he had a audioque hdc3 and an aq-2200d around 3 cubes tuned for daily around 36 hz and we ran it at comp did a 144.5 in the kick.

if your happy with the way your car sounds if it does the job for a daily setup, dont worry about numbers

You may think im crazy but Kicker nothing will do SPL.

oh pleasee.....

You got some good amps but the subs wont do it.

oh, i thought Kicker wasnt good.

Call PWK Designs 706-699-1261. If Pete say it can happen then I beleive it.

lol. whatever pete "says" will cost you $50+ and you probably dont have the skill to build the box.

LOL @ Kicker nothing will do SPL

I have a good amount of experience with solox's (12's mainly) if you need a design hit me up

Shoot me a PM of a design. I think these can do better than what they are

12- DC Audio m2Lvl3 12's1- Hertz HSK3 way2- DC5K's2- ZX350.42- Stinger SP1500D batteries in rear3- runs of 1/0ga. to the rearTeam DC Audiodc-banner.jpgdcsoundlab.com

Quality is all in how you take pictures ;) I have plenty of projects that look WAY better on camera then in person :D

crazy to fit so many in so little. Reminds me of some of the porns I've seen?

WHAT? i love kicker subs, a friend of mine is hitting 148 dbs with 2 cvx 15´s on 3000 watts and yes, it´s a daily box, so i guess they do pretty good, besides that, you know who steve mick is?? he used kicker on every comp, i don´t know if he´s still with those subs, but yes, kicker do pretty damn good!!

By the way, my friends on Venezuela are on top 3 in every Iasca class and they use Kicker for your information :yahoo:

so face it towards the rear of the car?

Yes. This is almost always loudest unless you can do forwards and sealed. And even then sometimes rear or side firing is loudest.

EDIT: Just looked at build log.

Common chamber, common port is louder 99.9% of the time. Then the other 0.1% is seperate chamber, common port.

Seperate port = fail for spl, IMO.
