I can finally hear all that low, low end kick drum that a box tuned to 35hz cant produce, at the same time I do not blame you. A sub with an fs of 35hz really wont play much lower than that, anyhow so whats the point of tuning a box under 30hz? Tune low, use a driver with a low fs and talk 150@25hz. I really dont feel proud if my car breaks 150 in the 40hz region. its really not that hard to do. I used to to tune all my boxes to 35hz then one day I played a jeezy song..not sure of the name its on the inspiration. tarck 13 i think. I keep it gangsta and they love that shit. That has some tremendous lows. If your system cant play it it just makes wind noise! Speakers unload and all. OldsBoomer Posted October 3, 2010 Report Posted October 3, 2010 I guess we will see but the thing ill say this... dont complain if you dont hit good numbers being tuned super low tuning low can be different for every person, my definition of tuning low is under 30hz, where as some one who listens to rock all the time will say 35hz tuning is low... if you want a all around good sound in almost all the music band, 35hz will hit almost all those frequencys... if you want a flat response do a sealed box... lol again the SMD's aren't meant for numbers that was not at all their purpose. i did a 146.5db at 4hz, and was doing a 152 at 24hz... tuning to 35 can still produce alot of those freqs you have 3 18's in a wall in a small vechile i would hope you could put up good numbers all around Suburban Coming Soon

Had some issues with the level 5s one is going back for a recone. This box was built for testing purposes with a 28hz port. Final box will be built with interchangeable ports tuned from 20hz to 40 hz in incriments of 5
