It sounds more like tuning than anything else. It sounds like technically anyone could be on the SQ train. Get yourself a 360.2 and decent speaker placement and you on your way.

speaker placement is very important for SQ. one guy replaced his dash with speaker cloth and had speakers on the wheel wells. made it sound like some one was in front of the car playing a horn. its pretty crazy.

a bit.1 will do a lot more than the 360.2 but expect to spend a good 30 hours of tuning to get it perfect lol. the MS-8 will tune everything for you then you just do little adjustments to your liking.

If I answered you in a well mannered, informative way, you asked a good question or had a good attitude. If I was an asshole, you asked a stupid question or you had a fucktard attitude... or I was in a bad mood.

pretty much

theres only a few here in CA i've sat in that i was like "hey thats a great sounding rig" others ive listened to and find a great stage but it sounds muted or very low in volume, but that person scores pretty high with the "sq" judges.

I'm totally into a great sounding reproduction, but cannot understand the subjective side of it that is present. I've seen a competitor score 20 points difference from the same judge on back to back shows with no changes whatsoever with comments that are totally contradictory of what was said the previous show as well.

A big part of the competition side is make your car sound like this chosen little group of judges thinks is best for your build. Also, there is a little brand thing that goes around as well. I only live in CA so it may be a lot different other places that just what i see here.

only MS-8 doesnt have a dynamic EQ which works pretty well for low volume to high volume listening changes. lose the remote and your boned. I do like the Simplicity of it for my instance though. I dont really want to sit and tune for hours on end to achieve something passable, i rather be able to get a decent baseline and be done. So thats why i have my MS-8 and the Bitone sitting in the closet at the moment.

not many cars can get me to pluggin my ears but this one.......damn. I mean the first minute is ok but that thing just really starts digging deeper and deeper in your earhole till you cant stand it no more. Seems like it does it with relative ease....16 12's on 8 amps.........gotta love it. :)
