I think there needs to be some type of rules or guidelines for VS threads. Something along the line of whoever starts the thread needs to state specifics about what he/she wants to know between the 2 products in question. Not just hey whats better AA or DC. Maybe a set of basic questions to go along with the Products to help get a fair opinion.

Example

I actually started this one but SMD vs LVL 5 and now a list of questions for the OP to answer

1) Budget

2) Vehicle

3) Amps--how much power you plan on running

4) Electrical--what electrical upgrades are in the vehicle now/how many extra batteries and what Alts are being run

4) Space available for box

Im sure there are many more questions that can be added but I think this would be a good start and would help get rid of brand nut hugging.

With specific info about the build from the start it would be much easier to stay on topic and get the OP much better info about the products they are asking about.

Rules and guidelines wont matter...Look at all the rules we have in place now that still get broken on a daily basis...The fact of the matter is that the VS threads no matter how you try to monitor them or police them or whatever someone always gets their feelings hurt and starts an e-bitchfest and it becomes a headache quickly

i honestly dont like the this vs that thread rule...i thinks its stupid being its an audio forum and not being able to compare 2 like products from 2 different companies...ive never shut one down unless it was completely and utterly retarded like example used sony vs sundown.

in fact i made several this vs that threads myself...it helped me decide which sub i bought and run to this day...and ive been ecstatic w the purchase made...as long as i see people making good comparisons or detailed break down on what there looking for ill either let it stay for people to add their input or id add my own...ill make note in the mod section about this and see whatt we can do...

I don't like them only because I don't like opening every single one up and answering....some of which I cant because I haven't run said product, although the whole rest of the forum seems to have "experience" with LOL.

I just don't open them....
