AI James
in all honesty i highly doubt that you and your buddy will pull off a trunk like that on the first time out. Sound and looks have to be somethign you consider. depending on what subs you get room for aesthetics may greatly change. Calculations for enclosure ventilation for amps etc etc. wiring and electrical cannot be found until you decide defacto what you want to do amps and sub wise. REALLY Just as a side note since you brought up price and buying cheap stuff. Look thru the build section on the site or just read peoples signatures and you will see what REAL audio fanatics are using for subs and amps. You do not have to buy the most expensive subs and amps to get the best outcome. The opposite is actually true, the overpriced stuff you buy at Bestbuy and Crutchfield are more failure prone than say a DC sound sub or a Sundown amp. Sundown is a small company as is DC. You can pick up the phone and call them and the OWNER will actually be there the help you if you have questions or problems. Thats the difference. 2000 GMC Sonoma AQ20 FTMFW! 4 DC XL 15's Cadence ZRS-C9 Infiniti Kappa 3.5's and 6x8's Bravox 6.5 components

corey0928
Why do you type in caps lock? And 3k can get you a lot. Plus we can't sit here and say this sub over this sub because really you could make any sub sound like ass if you do a Shitty job installing. So look around and then decide. Focal makes a great product. I know that. I have not seen one of Crutchfields catalogs in years, did not even know they started carrying decent products so I retract part of my statement. I was just saying that the customer service you get with a smaller company is great if you need it. Also being in the wrong hands is going to lead to failure but that goes for anything not just audio equipment. Under proper use I would take smaller brands over mainstream any day of the week. Just my opinion. 2000 GMC Sonoma AQ20 FTMFW! 4 DC XL 15's Cadence ZRS-C9 Infiniti Kappa 3.5's and 6x8's Bravox 6.5 components
