CJs DC Warhorse F150 Build Log(VIDEO pg11)

Recommended Posts

Why wouldn't you just run the pos and neg for the amps off of the buss bars instead of the two other ones? Seems like you would get a slightly better power flow by connecting to the buss bars.

Either way, nice build! How'd you do the kinda countersunk looking holes for screwing everything together? its looks like an angle countersink or something. Looks really good though!

And thanks for starting a new build log...that other one just got wayyy too outta hand!

Just gonna run off the front 2 to keep everything balanced. It will also give me slightly shorter power and ground wires. With both batteries getting 2 1/0 power and ground connections to the bussbars i shouldnt have any voltage difference. i would have done all 8 in a row but the aluminum bars I ordered were only long enough for 6, which was my original plan, so i had to modify and put the last 2 in front.

The pocket holes you see were done with a kreg jig pocket hole kit I ot from lowes. It is usually used for building cabinets but it works great for this too.

Still working but waiting for some stuff to dry so here are a few pics of the progress.

Picked up some cans of spray on bedliner to coat the amp/batt rack in. It will get 2 coats of this then a final resin coat to water proof and seal it.

Looks great man. Mind telling what you paid for the bus bars?

Thanks...I think I paid like $60 for the aluminum and I drilled and tapped all of the holes myself. They are made from 1/2x2 aluminum from www.metalsdepot.com

Looking good man!

Thanks man....more pics uploading now
