TheSundownFire
Anyway to get a new heatsink for my SAZ-1000D? I scratched it pretty bad from one side to the other while moving. Kinda kills my plans for my new amp rack since I have one nice 50.4 and a scratched 1000D I cant really repaint it since the finish would hard to do. Thanks! doug118
if you can't get a new heatsink are insist on having a super clean one, I believe they are anodized so you could just have it redone. but the sundown logos will no longer exist Quote 2001 Tahoe. Skullz
Check your area on places to have it re-anodized, don't know what the damage in costs would be but thats the best option outside of a new amp. EDIT: another option is to sand it down till you get to a polished finish, that will take a lot of elbow grease but quite possible to do, start at 800, 1200, 2000 and a polishing wheel after. TheSundownFire
Maybe Ill shoot dB-r an email and see if they have some parts laying around. I really think itll be difficult to get the finish to match if I get in re-anodized. The polished idea does sound interesting. I pretty much scratched it all the way across the top across the silver part. Missed the logo I think. I havent looked at it in a few weeks because it bothers me so much. Spent so much time making sure that didnt happen and it did anyways. Thanks guys!
