SnowDrifter
For a sealed box... What would get louder / sound better? 2 Rockford Fosgate T2 15s or 3 T2 12s? On one hand... the 15s have more cone area, on the other hand... I can pump 150% of the power to the 12s. Help? actually when u think about it the 3 12s have more cone area in total only thing diff is that u wont pick up the lows like the 15s can but if u want all around sound 12s but if 15 u want pure bass an not great of high bass the 15s in all i would say 15s but thats jus because i have cvx 15s so i wouldnt take jus my word on this ask around on here more
Team-Atomic-Andrew
in pure cone space 4 12's = 2 15's if you have a amp that will give the T2's all the full rms id go with the 3 12's if you have a amp that will give them the full rms each sub, if youre using the same amp for either one id go with the 2 15's

Guest
So 2 15s @ 2400w > 3 12s @ 3600w? with that power, i would say the 12's would be louder. assuming thats an actual RMS figure. and why do you want to stick with sealed boxes so much? you seem to be against them for some reason. im just curious
LT.Smoke
Yes the sub size really doesnt impact how low or high it will play....I have an 8" woofer in my car that plays from 30-65hz all day long and gets pretty nasty while doing so.... I would take the 3 12's since you will have a slight cone area advantage....Look into ported enclosures they will get lower and louder than sealed if thats what you are looking for is low and loud Team MaxRetribution Si Vis Pacem Parabellum Id rather be judged by 12 than carried by 6 Bowhunting- Life Begins and Ends at Full Draw Bowhunting Team Fatal Trajectory Hunt Team http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/49335-sick96vtecaccords-t-line-build/?hl=sick96vtecaccord << Accord Build http://www.stevemeadedesigns.com/board/topic/68498-smokedout08impalas-tline-build/?hl=+sick96vtecaccord << Impala T-line build Rebassed.com for all your music needs 👌
